Nickel prices continue to trade higher on global cues

Mumbai, July 2 (PTI) The rising trend in nickel remained unabated on the non-ferrous metal market here today on the back of heavy stockists buying driven by firming trend in overseas market.

Elsewhere, tin also continued to rule firm owing to good demand from industrial users.

While, copper and brass weakened further in the absence of worthwhile buying support.

Nickel shot up by Rs 35 per kilo to Rs 835 from previous closing level of Rs 800 and tin also rose by Rs 7 per kilo to Rs 857 from Rs 850.

However, copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheets cutting fell by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 274, Rs 253, Rs 302 and Rs 262 respectively.

Copper sheets cutting and brass utensils scrap also eased by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 271 and Rs 197.
