Inspired by the phenomenon success of Switzerland as the prime location for shooting Indian films and for Indian tourists, another European country Austria is now trying to tap Bollywood to promote itself as its destination.

"Till now more than 70 Indian films have been shot in Austria and we have now created a special company to facilitate the shooting of Indian films there which would help us in promoting the country as tourist destination among Indians," Representative of Austrian National Tourist Office Renuka Shorey told media.

The tourism department of Austria has created a special company, Cine Tirol, which was founded in 1998 to promote the country as an attractive location for International film productions.

The company provides comprehensive support to all filmmakers including arranging junior artists, shooting equipments, locations, guide and all other necessary requirements including help in getting visa.

Explaining the initiative taken by the Austrian government, Shorey said: "Anticipating the rush of tourist inflow during the summer season, the government has extended the visa section in India where the approval of visa is now very fast. "We are ready to provide film crew every resources available to us," he said.
