Muthoot case: remand of eight accused extended till Feb 22

Kochi, Feb 9 (PTI) A local court today extended the judicial remand of eight accused in the murder of Kerala-based businessman Paul Muthoot George murder till February 22.

Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate K A Baby was told by the CBI that based on interrogation of some accused, it would like to interrogate all those in remand.

The case was posted for tomorrow when the court will hear the counsel for CBI and accused.

The scion of multi-crore Muthoot group was murdered last August at Alapuzha. There are 25 accused in the case.

On January 21, the Kerala High Court termed as"incomplete"and"improper"police's probe into Paul's murder and handed over its investigation to CBI, directing it to complete it in six months.
