Nagpur, South Africa beat India by an innings and six runs on the fourth day of the first cricket Test to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series here today.

Brief Score:South Africa : 558 for six decl.

India: 233 and 319 all out in 107.1 overs (Sachin Tendulkar 100, Harbhajan Singh 39, Dale Steyn 3/57, Paul Harris 3/76).
