Susan Boyle, Vogue's new cover girl?

London, Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle, who was once dubbed as'Hairy Angel' for her frumpy look, is now being lined up as the next Vogue supermodel.

The US fashion bible's top photographer Annie Leibovitz, 60, is keen to snap the Britain's Got Talent runner up Daily Star online reported.And she has joined forces with Vogue's creative director Grace Coddington to push editor Anna Wintour, 60, into signing her up.

"I wanted to get Susan Boyle to play the wicked witch in the December issue's Hansel and Gretel spectacular. Annie Leibovitz wanted her too, but I think Anna thought it was just all too British and not right," Grace, 69, said.

Despite that setback, the pair are still pushing their fashion queen boss to feature Susan.They want her to follow in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham, 35, Kylie Minogue, 41, and Beyonce Knowles, 28.

Now that 48-year-old Susan has bought some new frocks and tidied her hair they believe she could be a leader in the world of fashion.

And with the biggest-selling album of last year under her belt, they reckon Susan will appeal to their huge numbers of American readers.
