Silver futures rises on better global trend

New Delhi, Feb 8 (PTI) Silver futures prices rose by Rs 105 to Rs 24,769 per kg in futures market today on emergence of buying influenced by a better trend in overseas market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange platform silver for far-month July contract rose by Rs 105, or 0.43 per cent to Rs 24,769 per kg, with an open interest of 303 lots.

The metal for delivery in March contract also gained Rs 17, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 24,341 per kg in 20,475 lots.

Market analysts said, besides, firming global trend, fresh buying by traders helped silver prices to trade higher at the futures market.
