Ahmedabad , Oct 23 The first batch of 100 policemen from the state today embarked for a seven-month long training at par with that of National Security Guards (NSG) commandos to Rajasthan Police Training Centre in Jodhpur.

Karai Police Training Academy here.
The 100 personnels have been selected from the
State Reserve Police (SRP), special operation groups at district levels and other allied groups of the state police,
Khandwawala said."In total 400 personnel would be trained like NSG commandos so that they become well equipped to fight terrorism,"he said.
They will also be trained in handling latest weapons and combat techniques, he added.
Khandwawala also said that besides the wages, the police personnel after receiving the training will also be entitled for incentives. PTI PB PD
