Dharmapuri, Oct 23 (PTI): Tamil Nadu is the only State where'social justice'is properly implemented as in the case of reservation for the Arundhathiyar community, state Public Service Commission chairman A M Kasiviswanathan said today.

Speaking at a motivation campaign at the Civil Service Competitive Exam cell at Government Arts College here, he said the Arundhathiyar population formed 3.5 per cent of the overall population, but held only .5 per cent of Government jobs. The increase in reservation to 3 per cent showed that Tamil Nadu was a state where social justice was properly implemented, he said.

He told the students that doing professional and other degree courses was not merely a question of attending competitive exams. Students should fix their goal while pursuing degree courses.

Stating that the TNPSC was an agent to recruit people to the state government, he said there was no chance of question paper leakage in exams conducted by TNPSC as all papers were printed in other states and only deaf and dumb employees attend printing work.

He said the TNPSC had urged the state Government to give age relaxation to candidates writing in exams after a long gap. The age limit had been increased from 35 to 40 years.
