MP Assembly resolves to establish new varstiy in Bundelkhand

Bhopal, July 24 Madhya Pradesh assembly today unanimously passed an unofficial resolution to establish a new varstiy in Bundelkhand region of the state.

The only university that had existed in the area has been converted into a central university.

The resolution was moved by Yadvendra Singh of opposition Congress stating that after the conversion of Dr Hari Singh Gaur University, Sagar, as Central University the colleges situated in the area are facing the problem of affiliation, resulting in a big question mark over the future of a large number of students.

Replying to the resolution, State&aposs Higher and School Education Minister Archana Chitnis urged the House to amend the resolution by adding the name of Sagar as the probable place along with Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh and also taking the financial help from the central government for setting up the new university.
