Southwest monsoon may advance into Vidarbha: Met office

Pune, June 26 Conditions were favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into the remaining parts of Vidarbha, West Bengal and Sikkim during the next three to four days, the Meteorological office here said today.

It may further advance into some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and some parts of Jharkhand and Bihar during the same period, the Met office said in its weather bulletin for the day.

The monsoon has been active in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha and Kerala but has been subdued over Rayalaseema, it added.
