One killed, another injured in animal attacks

Srinagar, June 6 A six-year-old boy was killed and another person was injured in attacks by wild animals in separate incidents in Baramulla district, police said today.

Shafqat (6) was killed by a leopard at village Vassan-Tairpora, 60 kms from here, last evening, they said.

In a separate incident, a villager identified as Mohammad Yousuf (55) was attacked by a bear while he was working in his fields at Khodalan-Nowshera, 100 kms from here, yesterday, the police said.

Yousuf, who was critically injured in the attack, was shifted to GMC hospital for treatment.
